Eighth Grade Holocaust Unit
Through our research from the United States Holocaust Museum Website, Voices of the Holocaust and many other non-fiction books about the holocaust, students will attempt to answer the following questions: How did the Holocaust happen in the first place? How were the victims persecuted? What was the resistance to the Nazis during the holocaust? Why should we remember the holocaust? Who was responsible for the holocaust?

I think that the theme of the devils arithmetic is that you shuld nt take your famely for ganted and that even tho it is boring you should still put up with you family heritage.
im not shure what it is but friendrich never gave up hope and seemed like he never cared about the fact that hitler was around, im not shure what it is thought but i guess its to never let people get to you and dont give up hope.

I like your comment Logan, I totally agree with you but, you need to put in examples from the book.
